I'm posting this here because PAUL ANTHONY MELANSON is a comment censoring coward, as completely opposed to open discussion as he is to anything different from his radically conservative beliefs. And HE accuses Clark of "opposing reason".
The hate that I see present in this blog and the comments that follow it is repulsive. One of my fellow students was sexually assaulted off campus, and what do you all scream about? A play we hosted and the fact that we are open and accepting of homosexuality? Why is no one here outraged at the men who did this?
Is it because you care less about my fellow student and her terrible experience than you do about seizing an opportunity to spout your own beliefs as pure gospel in a truly hateful and vindictive manner?
Because that is what I see. No concern for the woman, no outrage at the actual perpetrators. Your only concern seems to be that your beliefs on a barely-related subject are being challenged.
Get over it! Homosexuality is NOT a social evil. Open discussion of sexuality IS important and healthy. If you are uncomfortable with it feel free not to participate, but don't you dare try to impose your close-minded beliefs on me, and don't you dare slander my university for being a space where conversations are not censored, and don't you dare assume that "Clarkies" are a homogenous group with an anti-christian agenda.
And the next time you stumble across a personal tragedy, and feel the urge to turn it into a soapbox for your hatred of difference, fell free to go to hell..
